#30 Week 8: Editing

Today was a little frustrating. When I returned from spring break, my main goal this evening was to merge what Madelyn edited with mine. However, knowing the time requirements are about two minutes for our opening, Premier Pro said it was about two minutes and 30 seconds long, so now I must edit even more and cut some time down. This adds some more editing time on my end which means I am going to have to edit at my grandparents' house once more. Adding more editing time may set me back a little as I am now beginning my CCRS, but I believe I can do it. I also am debating on asking Madelyn if she can make the beginning either faster or cut a clip or two out. It isn't ideal but we are running out of time as it is the home stretch for this project but if necessary then I will make it work.

I also embedded three sound elements we recorded right before spring break which consisted of a door nock, a phone ringing, and Aubrey who plays our main character saying "Adam what are you doing here". Through a discussion we all decided to create our own sound effects instead of getting them from an online site. By doing this we can not get copywritten and makes the film more unique and personalized.

At the end of class I discussed some title ideas with Indy and how it should be portrayed to our audience. The first idea she told me was that she was going to somehow zoom in on the writing in our last clip of the flowers where it says, ‘Almost Perfect’. She also told me she could cut out the words in Canva then add them back into Premier Pro as a font and animate it that way. Both ways I believed were great, but I simply worry about how much time it may take her to do it.
