#29 Week 7: CCR Planning

 Creative Critical Reflection

On completion of the product, candidates must reflect upon their work, using digital
formats such as director commentaries, slideshows with voiceover, podcasts, or
screencasts. The emphasis should be on creative use of such tools to critically reflect on
the production, guided by the following compulsory questions:

● How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent
social groups or issues?
● How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as
a real media text?
● How did your production skills develop throughout this project?
● How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this
project?

Shown above are the criteria for the Creative Critical Reflections my teacher Mr. Z gave me and my class. To start the process of building my reflections I decided to use four different digital formats for the questions. By doing this I think I will be able to receive more marks for having diversity in my reflections. I am thinking of doing a podcast, a presentation with a voiceover, screen recording of me explaining the poster and a marketing advertisement, and a direct commentary through a get ready with me vlog on YouTube. Before starting I will have to meet with Mr. Z tomorrow in class to discuss my ideas and get his approval before planning them out.

For my first question I had the idea of creating a vlog on my YouTube channel of me getting ready and doing my hair and makeup while answering some questions my subscribers had about my product. I will first need to create the script for the Q&A, film it, and then I will need to edit it like a professional YouTube vlogger. For question two I think I am going to create a poster, and a marketing advertisement for a makeup collaboration. I may do a movie trailer instead of an advertisement, but I will need to find an app that makes it easy to create one. After that I will do a voice over to explain how it would be distributed “Almost Perfect” was a real movie. The third question will hopefully be a podcast with one of my friends. For this, I will write both scripts and my friend will be the host, and I will be the guest talking about my film. This will most likely be filmed outside of school but I'm not sure yet. Finally, for the last question, I will be creating a PowerPoint with pictures of different technologies used throughout the process of the project. I will then do a voice recording of my PowerPoint and discuss more in depth how I learned to use the technology and how it was beneficial.
