#27 Week 6: Sound adjustments

While at my grandparents' house today, I was able to successfully download adobe creative cloud and premier pro onto their desktop computer. Due to spring break next week I wanted to be able to finish any editing I had left so when I got back from break all I have to do is connect the beginning Madelyn edited and mine. I also wanted to be able to edit at home so I could begin my CCR’s.

Additionally, after successfully downloading Adobe, I began editing the sound portion of my film. I was able to use some of the research I did last week to find the audio balance bar to adjust the dialogues audio down to 12. I went through each video clip to make sure the sounds matched the next sequence so the whole video was consistent with each other. Once they all matched, I then matched our song “Perfect Day” to the main character who is lip singing to the music as she dances around the room. My group and I wanted to really make sure that our song was diegetic where our character could hear the music as well as the audience. However, when the dialogue starts it fades out in the background so the audience can hear the dialogue. By using the volume adjusted in audio effects, I faded the music to match the dialogue pauses.

When I get back to school, I will need to approve all the adjustments I made in the sound with my partners to make sure they agree or have any other ideas to improve sound quality.
