I'm excited to utilize my bedroom for this film. I believe having a big room will make it easier for me to film our scenes. The film will open during the day while our main character gets ready for a date. I will open all my blinds to add as much natural light into my room to create brightness, symbolizing a happy and uplifting side of the film. Once the plot changes, the lighting will become duller with more shadows. This adds tension to the film because there is suspense to who is at the door at the end of the opening.
I wanted to help Indy out as much as possible while describing the camera shots so she could have a descriptive idea of what to draw out for the storyboard. We do many single shots of our main character to show the audience her personality and some over-the-should shots of dialogue between her and her sister. There are also zoom in, zoom out, and tilting shots to illustrate different reactions from the characters. This outline creates an idea of how the film will play out of production day so everything can go according to plan in an organized and timely manner.
I am so ready to begin the filming process with my partners and learn new camera techniques. Throughout this process, I have begun to understand and appreciate the dedication of production companies in producing films.
