#20 Week 4: Beginning the Editing Process

For the last few days, I have been downloading the footage taken on Monday. From how many times each shot was filmed, we had approximately 175 video clips. I took each video from the SD card and moved it into two files on my flash drive. If it was the videos from our first attempt, I moved it into the film day 1 file and our new content into the AICE Media Studies file.

My partners and I decided to use the professional editing software Adobe Premier Pro to edit our film. I built my editing skills through practice when I did any projects and my midterm, which makes me feel more comfortable about using Adobes editing software for this final project. Right now, however, Indy, Madelyn and I are on the fence about how much we each should edit or if I will edit the whole opening.

Personally, with having the most experience out of us three I believe I am best fit as the editor. It was also the role I was assigned to when we discussed roles in the first week of our project. But since Madelyn has been slacking in her production roles, Indy and I must decide if she should take over some of the editing to even out our project more and will be discussed further in class. Still, beginning the editing process is exciting as it allows me to be creative and mold the film into how the audience should interpret it.
